On the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2025, Maco Technology realised for the second year in a row an installation for Amazon by studio MAD. The project occupies the courtyard of the pharmacy in the State University of Milan and aims to reinterpret the Italian piazza in a contemporary way. Inside the courtyard, a pure octagonal volume has been created to symbolise a historical monument within which various design objects are displayed. The octagon is made up of 46 mirrored metallised ETFE panels with the aim of reflecting what happens in the square inseime to the colours and reflections of the roof. the panels are made of aluminium profiles specially designed to tension the ETFE film without visible profiles. The differently shaped panels measure up to 4 metres in height. Covering the square are 100 strips of printed ETFE with 100 colour gradients. The strips are tensioned by means of a spring system and measure about 1500 linear metres for about 580 square metres of printed ETFE.
