ETFE can be tensioned in a single layer using edge profiles and cables capable of introducing the tension necessary to withstand the thrust of the wind load (or snow, if applied to the roof).
It is therefore possible to create ventilated façades on existing buildings using large panels (even 3-4 metres wide and over 25-30 metres long) that give the façade a clean and modern look. Thanks to the flexibility of the film, it is also possible to create curved shapes of varying complexity, depending on the desired aesthetic effect. The panelling is attached to the building using spacer brackets onto which the tensioning profiles are screwed. The stiffening cables are also attached to these brackets in order to absorb the wind pressure acting on the façade.
