One of the most common requests in the world of garden sails is to create a canvas cover that has the side adjacent to the facade, as close as possible to the wall, and, on the opposite side, two tensioning points, preferably without stays other than the pillars. This was also done in this villa in Franciacorta. A gunmetal profile was bolted to the wall and accommodates the canvas that extends along its entire length. Two 150x150mm square poles, set into the ground and of different heights, act as support and allow the canvas to be tensioned. The result is a simple, minimalist cover that does not interfere with the existing architecture.
A 20m2 sail is connected to a fixed rail on the facade and to fixed poles at the opposite site. The result is a minimalist shade that does not interact with the beauty of the original architecture.
