Tensile Structures
Client: Antolini Marble (VR)Data: September 2015
Info: 25 square metres each
Two tensile structures are tensioned by four stainless steel pillars embedded in the ground without the use of reinforcement struts. The structure is designed for a snow load of 40 kg/m² and is tensioned using stainless steel tie rods and joints designed by Maco Technology. The shape is that of a classic 4-point sail, two high and two low. The result is a structure that is stable in the wind and capable of withstanding moderate snow loads.
