The installation of the floating cover for one of the largest wet waste disposal plants in Italy is proceeding quickly. Here is a nice overview to show you the quality of the facility.

After positioning and inflating the 16 tubular elements (8 forming the torus and 8 arranged radially), on the morning of June 27 the installation of the covering membrane began. Its purpose is to collect the gas produced by the digestate and to capture rainwater.
Here is an
image of the tubular elements, now deflated, positioned at the bottom.
This is the moment when the upper sheet is positioned, a specific material designed to resist contact with the particularly aggressive fluid contained in the tank.

The sheet is laid out carefully to avoid altering the position of the underlying tubular elements.

Sections of just under 2,000 square meters each are laid out by hand one after the other within a few hours.

The upper sheet, covering 7,100 square meters, is without a doubt the largest membrane ever designed by Maco Technology!
