Textile facades

For SKF Industrie s.p.a., based in Airasca, Turin, a textile façade is being installed to cover a newly constructed warehouse. The second skin consists of 88 panels of varying heights, ranging from 13 to 6 metres. The cladding starts parallel to the building and then splits and detaches from the building near the entrance to create a three-dimensional shape that characterises the building. The substructure consists of a series of steel pillars at regular intervals to which the aluminium profile tensioning system is attached.
