Examples of textile panels for façades made with different profiles and materials. With Aero S profiles, panels of various shapes can be created to form flat façades. With Aero A profiles, panels can be juxtaposed in three dimensions in space, maintaining a gap of practically zero or just a few millimetres. Textile panels can be made with PVC-coated polyester mesh fabrics such as Ferrari 381 mesh or PVC-coated polyester (solid) membranes. The panels can be used to create ventilated façades that improve both the aesthetics and thermal comfort of the building, with consequent energy savings, especially in summer. The dimensional limits of the panels are dictated by transport and installation possibilities. For reasons of cost-effectiveness, we recommend panels that are as large as possible, usually up to 2.5 metres on the short side and up to 10 metres on the long side. Facades built with these systems are eligible for the “Bonus Facciate” (Facade Bonus) valid in Italy in 2020, which allows for a tax recovery of up to 90% of the costs incurred over 10 years.
