The project for a technological tree capable of filtering air and improving the healthiness of our cities has been realised by the Fervo Group’s ECO2AIR® TOWER on display at Futura Expo in Brescia. The filtering plant is covered by a series of 3D panels forming a tower 7 metres high and 3 metres in diameter. The panels are spatially folded rhombuses made up of an aluminium profile perimeter, a diagonal stainless steel spacer and a polyester mesh membrane coated as a covering. The flexibility of the textile system made it possible to produce a complex shape in a modular, simple and fast way, guaranteeing the solidity of the structure but, at the same time, the lightness and permeability of the finished object. The tower can be assembled in one day with the aid of a small crane.
